It was a great night of basketball here at the Charger Arena. After the Lady Chargers defeated Catholic Central, 38-35 on a buzzer beater by Brianna Meulenberg, the boys took the floor for what turned out to be another outstanding battle. Covenant took a 14-11 lead after one quarter, and maintained the three point lead through the second quarter, entering the locker room with a 30-27 lead. The Cougars poured in 21 points in the third quarter, while holding the Chargers to 14, to take a 48-44 lead. Catholic Central held off the covenant comeback attempt with a 62-58 victory. Covenant's record fall to 3-1 with the loss. Carson Meulenberg finished with 21 points, followed by Trent Koole with 12 for the Chargers. Covenant will travel to Byron Center to take on the Bulldogs next Thursday, Dec 21
