Chargers Girls Fall to Oakridge

The Oakridge Eagles, ranked #10 in Class B, took on the Chargers on Tuesday night and headed back to Muskegon with a 58-50 victory. The game was close in the first half, with Oakridge going into the locker rooms with a 30-26 advantage.
A huge 3rd quarter gave Oakridge a 16 point lead. The Chargers were outscored 22-10 in the third quarter. Covenant fought back in the final stanza, cutting the lead to 8 at the final buzzer.
The Eagles were led by Sophia Wiard and Hanna Reinhold with 22 points each. Brianna Meulenberg led the Chargers with 12 points, followed by Brooke Mulder with 11, and Becca Boeve with 10. The Chargers will travel to Grand Rapids Catholic Central on Friday night (Feb 24) for a 7:30 game against the Cougars. At 6:00 on Friday, the Boys Varsity will also take on Catholic Central.
