On Friday August 19, the Charger Varsity Volleyball team opened their season at the West MI Officials Association Invitational:  The girls went 2-4 in pool play, and made it into the silver bracket.  They lost to North Muskegon in the first round. 

Holland: W 25-17, L 24-26

Wayland: L 12-25, L 22-25

Sparta: W 25-22, L 22-25

North Muskegon: L 12-25, L 14-25

On Saturday, August 20, the Charger JV volleyball opened their season at the Coopersville Invitational. The scores:

Mona Shores L 24-26 L 16-25

On Saturday, August 20, the Charger Varsity volleyball team defeated Ravenna to win the silver bracket in the WMC Warrior Invitational. 

The 9th, JV and Varsity Volleyball teams competed at the Allendale TRI, on Monday Aug 22

9th grade
The Charger 9th grade girl's volleyball team began their season on Monday. In a tri-meet at Allendale, they lost to the host school 1-2 and, in the second match, defeated Greenville 2-0.

JUNIOR VARSITY
Lost to Allendale in 2 games 18-24,16-25 and lost to Greenville 8-25, 17-25.

VARSITY
Lost to Allendale 0-2 and lost to Greenville 1-2. 
 

On Tuesday, August 30, the girls varsity VB defeated Potter's House in 5 games:  25-8, 22-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-11. The Varsity record for the season now stands at 2-4-2.

JV Volleyball played Potters House on Tuesday, August 30 and won in 2games:  25-13, 25-17. Thier season record is 3-5.
 

On August 29

The JV volleyball team competed in 3 hard fought games at Grant high school. Season record 2-5
Beat Comstock Park 15-25, 25-19, 15-13
Lost against Grant 25-14, 22-25, 14-16
Lost against Unity 13-25, 22-25

Tuesday, August 30 vs Potters House
Varsity VB beat Potter's House in 5 games:  25-8, 22-25, 25-19, 20-25, and 15-11.

The Varsity record is  2-4-2.

JV Volleyball defeated Potters House by scores of 25-13, 25-17. Season record 3-5.

Wed, August 31
On Wednesday 8/31, in a quad meet, CCHS Varsity VB defeated Sparta 2-0, lost to Kent City 22-25 and 22-25, and deflated Ravenna 2-0. Season record 4-5-2.
On Wednesday night, August 31, the JV volleyball team traveled to Ravenna to finish off a busy week of volleyball. They began the night beating the host team Ravenna in some close games 25-21, 25-22! They then lost a 3 set match with  a solid Kent City  team 14-25, 25-20, 8-15. They finished the night against Sparta with a hard fought loss 22-25, 19-25. Season record 4-7.

The team traveled to Coopersville for a quad.

JV Volleyball

10/5 - JV Volleyball travelled to West Ottawa for a quad. The team started off the night against Catholic Central and lost a close contest (23-25, 22-25). The next two matches produced the same results. West Ottawa (17-25, 16-25) and Unity Christian (15-25, 10-25).

10/13 – The JV Chargers rebounded from the matches against strong teams on a high note at Senior Night! While fans started to trickle in, the girls fought hard, played their game and defeated the WMC Warriors in 2 games! With amazing passing from our Libero Jayden Westra, great all around play by the whole team, Leeanna Bomers finished the night with a huge kill to get every one fired up. A great night for a victory (25-18, 25-18). Final Season Record 19-18
