Friday, Aquest 26. The XC Chargers kicked off the 2022 racing season with a bang in the dark at the "Under the Lights" meet at South Christian! There were lights shining, glow in the dark face paint, glow sticks, and fireworks at the start of each race! The boys took home a 2nd place trophy in the small school division. Levi Kamps 15th, Luke Dykstra 19th, Mason Schimmel 22nd, Nick Lubbers 26th, Grant Koole 30th, Tyler N. Kooienga 35th, and Ty Kooienga 37th medaled by finishing in the top 40 overall. The girls also finished 2nd in the small school division and brought home a trophy. Amber Koole medaled by finishing 5th overall. It was such a fun night!
 

On Saturday 9/10, the Charger cross country teams raced against some great teams, both from Grand Rapids and Illinois in the Christian school invite. The boys finished 4th. Levi Kamps ran a personal best, finishing 11th overall and medaling. The girls finished 6th. Amber Koole also ran a personal best and received a medal for 2nd overall. It was a good day for our teams!

On Friday 9/17 your Charger XC teams ran in the big school division at Riverside Park in the Ottawa Hills Invite. The energy was up and as a whole our teams ran their best race of the season. We gained confidence and took a big step toward our goals. Amber Koole medaled finishing 10th overall in the girls varsity race. We are excited to get back at it this week and keep the momentum going.
